Toy Fair 2014: A Pastel Explosion with Hasbro's My Little Pony

OK! About to head to bed for my 4am wakeup call to shoot LEGO..which we only do because we love you...so before I slip into my coma, we thought we'd give the people what they want. MY LITTLE PONIES!!! We've tackled the topic a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, so we are certain we've got plenty of information online, so let's get right to the eye candy with plenty of shots of the Rainbow Rocks, Rainbow Power, the build a pony Pop line and more!

  1. The first Equestria Girls image in this gallery... are those going to be actual toys, or are those just display items? If they're actual toys, I cannot express how impressed I am. Those outfits are perfectly accurate to the outfits the characters wore in the first movie, and they're brimming with personality — much better than the horribly generic outfits the actual first wave of dolls had. Maybe Hasbro is better at learning from their mistakes than I give them credit for.|

The Rainbow Rocks dolls are a bit weird with their elaborate 80s rock styling, but they also have a decent amount of respect for the characters' personalities. I especially like the dolls of secondary characters like Octavia, DJ PON3, Zecora, Trixie Lulamoon, and Photo Finish. Whether or not they turn out accurate to the characters' outfits and appearance in the upcoming movie, they do a fantastic job paying homage to the characters' established personalities in both My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and My Little Pony: Equestria Girls.

Thanks so much for taking and sharing these photos! Your Toy Fair reporting is always top-notch. I look forward to seeing your coverage of the LEGO sets that are on display in New York this year.

  2. Show accurate dolls. WOW thats almost as shocking as Apple Jack with a Hat. Just maybe Hasbro has learn't something and will push the MLP current creation past there projected 5 more years.
