Justin Timberlake Wants To Be The Riddler
As Hollywood sounds off on the Bat-casting with our father, Joss Whedon, in support, alongside Kevin Smith, we've also been getting a not-so-subtle wish list from A-list celebs as to who they would want to play in the comic book to movie universe. MTV caught an interview on radio station Fresh 102.7 where Justin Timberlake added his approval to the Batman casting choice but pitched in an "oh hell no" at the idea of super hero support aspirations alongside Batfleck. The idea of being the bad guy was way more enticing.
"Now villain. I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain... The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I'm wanna play proper crazy... I'm ready. The Riddler. Gimme a call."
You know...I can see it. Forget the spastic tights wearing role made infamous by Jim Carrey back in the dark days of Batman films. Put Justin in a nice euro-cut suit with the bowler hat and cane and watch the magic. Riddler is a character that let's his complex planning laid out months in advance do the talking for him, so any appearance by the man himself should be shadowy and fleeting. He wants you to think he is everywhere, and nowhere, and only shows himself when he feels he isn't getting the attention he deserves. Timberlake can pull it off.
