Iron Man 2 Interactive Trailer and MORE Merchandising
I thought I'd put the eye candy right up top since its the AM and you may already be at work, bored out of your mind and looking for the first thing to do while you pretend to trudge through your day. We just showed you the pretty new Iron Man 2 Dr. Pepper cans you can add to your...shelves next to Mom's Hummels....just where DOES someone put a soda can collection other than on the kitchen table in a pyramid configuration? At any rate, Reese's is getting in on the newest armored adventure claiming themselves to be Part Chocolate...Part Peanut Butter...ALL HERO!! Good job kids..that makes zero sense, but we'll eat your demon candies anyway. As a reward for growing fatter with Hershy, one lucky fan can win a role in an upcoming Marvel movie!! Pop over to the Reese's Pavlion of the ever evolving virtual Stark Expo to enter. You'll also find a Hero Initiative section there where you can slide your mug into either Iron Man or War Machine's armor and create an odd mini movie where YOU ARE THE STAR!! WOOO! Well, the movie part might not work spectacularly, but the initial pic you create is Hee-sterical.

All Hero : .” promotion invites fans to look inside specially marked King Size Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to find a “winning” message. One lucky grand prize winner will receive a walk-on role in a future Marvel film, including travel for themselves and a guest to the film set. In addition, one first runner up will win a trip for two to visit a Marvel film set, one second runner up will be awarded a trip for themselves and a guest to attend a Marvel film premiere and 100 third runners up will receive a Sega Iron Man 2 video game.
Going back to the origins of Iron Man’s genius, Reese’s has challenged select MIT MBA students to generate awareness for the “ Part Chocolate. Part Peanut Butter. All Hero : .” promotion online. The digital marketing competition has two teams of three students competing to see which team can drive the most fans to www.reeses.com/ironman2 : .
Each team will represent one of the core ingredients in Reese’s perfect flavor combination – chocolate and peanut butter – with their competing campaigns launching April 5. The social media campaigns can be seen on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and select blogs.

Always looking to up the ante on its Slurpee promotions, 7-Eleven has expanded its collectible cup count to 10 for IRON MAN 2 – four lenticular Slurpee cups, four premium Super Big Gulp cups and two premium molded character mugs – and added flying character straws. Each action-packed lenticular Slurpee cup features never- before-seen film shots of the all-star cast – Iron Man and his crime-fighting partner War Machine (Don Cheadle), as well as Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and villain Whiplash (Mickey Rourke). The cups feature multiple frames from the movie to enhance the action effect. Even the domed cup lids have been redesigned for the promotion, shaped like the helmets accompanying the armored suits.
Each collectible IRON MAN 2 Slurpee cup has a code printed on the inside which can be entered at www.slurpee.com to earn points redeemable for real and virtual prizes as well as to enter sweepstakes like the “Collect Like a Super Hero-Live Like a Billionaire.” Similar to the collectible Slurpee cups, the Super Big Gulp cups feature static images of the four IRON MAN 2 Super Heroes and super villains. New this year are two collectible 13-inch-tall mugs that replicate the movie’s two good guys – Iron Man in his characteristic red and gold armor and War Machine’s heavy-duty weaponized armor.
Flying Straws - 7-Eleven began including collectible action figures to straws as part of its movie promotions a few years ago. Characters have been reproduced as magnets and come with their own display stands. This year, they fly. 7-Eleven will offer three different IRON MAN 2 Slurpee spoon-straws with Iron Man, War Machine or Whiplash figurines designed to fly around the straw or detached as a toy or collectible.
